Red Robin Bonus Bucks

For every gift card they sell, Red Robin will make a donation to the Food Bank.  If you buy $25 in gift cards, you will receive $5 in Bonus Bucks that can be used at Red Robin.  Valid at restaurants in Latham, Clifton Park, and Poughkeepsie.

Mohawk Valley Chorus

Mohawk Valley Chorus is a 100-voice community choir that has been bringing quality music to audiences in the eastern Mohawk Valley, Capital District, and southern Adirondacks for 75 years.  This holiday season, they are joining with the Regional Food Bank to “Nourish the Body and Spirit” by asking fans and supporters to make a financial contribution that will be split between the Food Bank and Mohawk Valley Chorus.

Tans For Cans

You can look good and do good this November by supporting the Tans For Cans food drive at Rosie’s Tanzmania in Troy.  You’ll receive a $1 coupon for tanning services for every can you bring in (up to $15).  Learn more at Rosie’s Tanzmania!

Song Writers Jam Band

Treat yourself to an afternoon of great music for a great cause at the Songwriters Jam Band.  On Sunday, November 22 from 2-6pm, local songwriters will “sing for their supper” to raise food and funds for the Regional Food Bank.  Admission to this Albany event is $7 per person or $5 with a non-perishable food donation.

Harvest Homestyle
When you buy a jar of Casa Visco Harvest Homestyle all natural sauce, you are not just providing a delicious, healthy meal for your family, you are helping someone else feed theirs. All proceeds from the sale of this sauce will be donated to the Regional Food Bank.

Round up From the Heart
imageThrough the Pampered Chef’s Round up From the Heart Campaign, Pampered Chef customers have the option of rounding up their order total to the next dollar; the extra money will then be donated to the Regional Food Bank. This ongoing campaign resulted in a donation of $15,686.68 in 2008 and over $172,000 throughout the past 17 years.

CANS FOR CAMP
TEAM WORK AGAINST HUNGER

Afrim’s Sports is pleased to announce their bi-annual Cans for Camp to take place on Veteran’s Day, November 11th.  All proceeds from this day will be donated to the Regional Food Bank.

A full day of Action Camp is available for $5 and 5 cans of food.  This will be the third year of the camp, and the goal this year is to raise 1000 pounds of food and $1000 for donation to the Regional Food Bank.

World’s Largest Dinner Party Event

September 15, 2009

image Dinner’s ready and you’re invited!  On September 15th the Regional Food Bank will help our local Macy’s stores host a celebration as part of the national kick off event for Macy’s Come Together campaign, which benefits Feeding America and our food bank. We will join more than 650 participating Macy’s stores in a simultaneous “first course” meal at 6 p.m. to celebrate the campaign launch and to educate customers about the issue of hunger.  By hosting simultaneous first-course events, Macy’s is creating the World’s Largest Dinner Party!

The Great Grocery Giveaway
imageUnderstanding the strain of the poor economy on its customers, Trustco Bank announced a donation to the Regional Food Bank of $1,000 as well as a new promotion where they will give away free $50 gift cards for Hannaford Supermarkets to anyone who sets up direct deposit with a new or existing checking account now through the end of April. Customers can opt to donate their gift card directly to the Regional Food Bank at their Trustco branch if they so choose. Trustco is also offering a free reusable canvas grocery tote bag for use when customers redeem their gift card. Check out the Trustco website for more information and the disclaimer.


Capital Couture and Ambiance Salon Present: A Red Carpet Revue
imageCapital Couture was held in January of 2009. The event showcased Albany’s hottest fashion boutiques, local talent, and hot night clubs with a charity fashion show to benefit the Regional Food Bank. Capital Couture raised over $900 for the Food Bank.


Beauty and the Feast
In the autumn of 2008, Dr. Lucie Capek, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, held a fundraiser during which attendees could make a monetary donation to the Regional Food Bank that was matched equally with Beauty Bucks, money the donor could use toward any treatment with Dr. Capek. Many thanks to Dr. Capek for thinking of the Food Bank in a new and creative way!


The Felice Brothers: Take this Bread
imageThe Felice Brothers threw a concert in Catskill to benefit the Regional Food Bank. Collecting food and monetary donations, the concert raised over $5,000 and more than 470 pounds of food for the Regional Food Bank. Thank you for thinking of us!
