Schools
Each spring, classrooms begin the growing-harvest cycle as partners with the Food Bank. Staff visits the classrooms providing soil, seeds and growing cups for students to start the process by planting seeds. Under the students care, the seeds germinate, grow into plants and are brought to the Farm for transplanting into the soil. Farm Manager, Mark Weinheimer, uses these opportunities to inform the students about agriculture and the workings of a farm.
Internships are always available. Please contact Linda Comstock for more information.
