Summer Food Program Coming to Amsterdam
Latham, NY – The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is proud to announce its participation in USDA’s Summer Food Service Program and is excited to bring this program to Amsterdam. The Summer Food Service Program provides free breakfasts and lunches to children during the summer, when free and reduced priced meals are not available at school.
From July 6-August 14, meals will be provided to all children 18 years and under without charge in partnership with Hispanic Outreach Services. The site is located at:
Veterans Park: 161 Locust Avenue
Breakfast: 8:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m.
In addition, children enrolled in the following programs will be provided free meals from:
Amsterdam YMCA
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30am
Lunch: 12:00-1:00pm
Catholic Charities Family Room
Lunch: 11:30-12:30pm (Tuesdays through Fridays only)
The Regional Food Bank will be sponsoring similar programs in the cities of Albany and Gloversville.
