Summer Food Program Coming to Gloversville
Latham, NY – The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is proud to announce its participation in USDA’s Summer Food Service Program and is excited to bring this program to Amsterdam. The Summer Food Service Program provides free breakfasts and lunches to children during the summer, when free and reduced priced meals are not available at school.
From June 29-August 14, meals will be provided to all children 18 years and under without charge in partnership with the Gloversville Boys & Girls Club and Gloversville Housing Authority. The site is located at:
Gloversville Boys & Girls Club: 181 West Street
Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m.
In addition, children enrolled in the following program will be provided free meals from June 29-August 28:
Lexington Family Services:43 Harrison Street
Breakfast:9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Lunch:12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m.
The Regional Food Bank is sponsoring similar programs in the cities of Albany and Amsterdam.
